I offer hand guided and computer assisted longarm quilting services in my home studio north of Boston, MA.
Services
Most edge to edge (or all over) designs are digitized and stitched with the aid of my Gammill Elevate. The Elevate allows me to adjust the scale of designs to each quilt and allows me to use designs that require a level of precision not easily achievable with a hand guided machine. Circles and backtracking are examples of things I would avoid in a hand guided pantograph pattern.
I also offer custom quilting which requires design time and incorporates freemotion quilting, marked designs, stitch in the ditch, and the use of rulers. I currently hand guide most of my custom work. However, if you want snowflakes, I am happy to custom place them and let the computer do the stitching! It’s the best of both worlds.
Lead Times
Please allow 2-3 weeks for edge to edge quilting from the time I receive it. Don’t forget to save time for the binding if you have a deadline. I am happy to put you on my list if you know that you need a project for a certain date but the quilt is not quite ready to be dropped off.
Please allow 4-6 weeks for custom quilting. Very large projects may take a little longer.
Lead times may increase slightly due to seasonal volume and occasional family obligations.

A variety of Hobbs battings (80/20 Premium Heirloom by the yard, Polydown, Wool), Warm and Natural and Warm and White, and Quilter’s Dream Cotton Select Loft and Quilter’s Dream Wool by the yard are available for your convenience, please inquire for pricing and availability
Client provided batting should be at least the same size as the backing. It is not necessary to resize packaged batting.
